Ingredients
  1. 2 cups sugar
  2. 2 cups flour
  3. 2 tsp. baking soda
  4. 2 tsp. baking powder
  5. 3/4 cup cocoa
  6. 1/8 tsp. salt
  7. 1 cup strong, hot coffee
  8. 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  9. 1 cup 7UP®
  10. 2 eggs
  11. Creamy White Frosting
  12. 1 cup milk
  13. 1/4 cup plus 1 Tbsp. Clover Valley® Plain Flour
  14. 1 cup butter, softened (do not substitute margarine)
  15. 1 cup Clover Valley® Granulated Sugar
  16. 1/8 tsp. Clover Valley® Iodized Salt
  17. 2 tsp. Clover Valley® Vanilla Extract
Instructions
  1. Combine sugar, flour, baking soda, baking powder, cocoa and salt in a large bowl.
  2. Add coffee and oil; beat for 1 minute with an electric mixer.
  3. Add 7UP® and eggs; beat well. Pour into a greased 13” x 9” x 2” baking pan.
  4. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes or until done.
  5. Cool on a wire rack.
  6. Top with creamy white frosting (directions below).
  7. Frosting
  8. Combine milk and flour in a saucepan.
  9. Cook, stirring constantly until thick.
  10. Cool completely.
  11. Combine remaining ingredients in a bowl; beat until light and fluffy.
  12. Add milk mixture and beat until smooth and creamy.
