Ingredients

  3. Blackberry Margarita Base
  4. 1/4 cup (2 ounces) silver tequila
  5. 2 tablespoons (1 ounce) fresh lime juice
  6. 1 tablespoon (1/2 ounce) agave nectar
  7. 1 tablespoon (1/2 ounce) blackberry liqueur
  8. 1 tablespoon plus 1 1/2 teaspoons (3/4 ounce) water
  9. Blackberry Sangria Base
  10. 6 tablespoons (3 ounces) Burgundy wine
  11. 1 tablespoon (1/2 ounce) blackberry brandy
  12. 1 1/2 teaspoons (1/4 ounce) simple syrup
  13. 1 tablespoon plus 1 1/2 teaspoons (3/4 ounce) water
  14. Blackberry Fruit Base
  15. 1 package (6 ounces or 1 1/3 cups) Driscoll's Blackberries, plus more for garnish
  16. 1 1/2 teaspoons (1/4 ounce) simple syrup
Instructions
  1. Blackberry Margarita Base
  2. Combine tequila, lime juice, agave nectar, blackberry liqueur and water in a bowl. Place in heavy duty freezer resealable plastic bag. Place bag in freezer in upright position. Freeze at least 4 to 6 hours. May stay frozen for longer if desired.
  3. Blackberry Sangria Base
  4. Combine wine, brandy, simple syrup and water in a bowl. Place in heavy duty freezer resealable plastic bag. Place bag in freezer in upright position. Freeze for at least 4 to 6 hours. May stay frozen for longer if desired.
  5. Blackberry Fruit Base
  6. Lightly mash blackberries with simple syrup in a small bowl (just to blend the two, do not create a puree).
  7. Remove frozen margarita and frozen sangria from freezer. Allow to thaw only until mixture is just pliable in the bag. Pour half margarita mixture in a goblet. Top with spoonful blackberry-simple syrup mixture. Top with half sangria mixture. Top with another spoonful blackberry-simple syrup mixture. Add remaining margarita mixture. Top with spoonful blackberry-simple syrup mixture. Add remaining sangria mixture. Top with remaining blackberry-simple syrup mixture. Garnish with lime twist and fresh blackberry skewered across top of drink.
