Ingredients
  1. 1 pkg. PEEPS® Peppermint Flavored Marshmallow Stars
  2. 1 box HOT TAMALES® Candies
  3. 1 box chocolate cake mix
  4. - see package for additional ingredients
  5. 2 tubes green decorating icing with star-shaped tip
  6. 1 tube dark green decorating icing with leaf-shaped tip
  7. 1 pkg. strawberry flavored rolled fruit snacks
Kitchen Tools Needed
  1. Mini cupcake pans
  2. Mini cupcake wrappers
  3. Kitchen scissors
  4. Large round serving platter
Instructions
  1. 1. Prepare cake mix according to directions
  2. and pour batter into lined mini cupcake pans.
  3. 2. Bake for approx. 8 – 10 minutes at 350 degrees or
  4. until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely.
  5. 3. Place mini cupcakes in a circle of 2 rows
  6. on a large round serving platter.
  7. 4. Frost cupcakes using green decorating
  8. icing with a star-shaped tip.
  9. 5. Create a bow out of strawberry flavored rolled fruit snacks.
To make the bow
  1. a) Cut one 2" strip and one 6" strip out of the strawberry
  2. flavored rolled fruit snacks. Create a loop out of the 6"
  3. strip and wrap the 2" strip tightly around the center of it
  4. (see Fig. 1). This will create the top of the bow.
  5. b) Cut two 6" strips out of the strawberry flavored rolled
  6. fruit snacks. Create loops out of each strip and place
  7. one on top of the other (see Fig. 2).
  8. This will create the bottom of the bow.
  9. c) Cut two 3" strips out of the strawberry flavored rolled fruit
  10. snacks. Cut a "V" shape out of the ends of the strips
  11. (see Fig. 3). This will create the ribbon part of the bow.
  12. 6. Place the piece created in step #5a on top of the piece
  13. created in step #5b. Place both on top of the ribbon
  14. |strands created in step #5c (see Fig. 4).
To make the holly
  1. a) Cut several pieces of HOT TAMALES® candies in half.
  2. b) Place candy pieces in various places around the
  3. wreath in clusters of 3 with the rounded end up.
  4. 7. Place entire bow on top of the mini cupcakes
  5. at the bottom of the circle.
  6. 8. Use the tube of dark green decorating icing with a leaf-shaped
  7. tip to create 3 leaves around each cluster of HOT TAMALES® candies.
  8. 9. Before serving, place several PEEPS® Peppermint Flavored
  9. |Marshmallow Stars on the wreath to complete the look.
